Mercedes at Common Sense with Money has posted this awesome deal. Apparently Walgreens has two seperate monthly deals going for these meters (the Contour and Breeze 2 meters with the -$30/1 coupon that I love so much!), which will make you $5 on each meter, plus when you buy both at the same time, they have an additional RR promotion which gives you $3 RR wyb two participating Bayer products in one transaction, which equals out to be a $13 money maker! *sighs* I have been taking an unintentional break for the past few days. The Christmas season has really hit me hard this year, mostly due to my own self-inflicted expectations and my pregnant self. It has made the past few days much more peaceful however, and I am very grateful to be able to drop one ball while picking up all the rest. I have been able to reflect on the joy of the Christmas season instead of giving into the hustle and bustle. I am so grateful for our Savior, that He was born on this day to save us all. Thank you Jesus for the most wonderful gift I have ever received. Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you are enjoying the fruits of the season.

FREE CVS ECBs

If I haven't stressed this enough in the past, LINK YOUR CVS CARD TO YOUR EMAIL AND SIGN UP FOR EMAILS! I got an email yesterday asking me to complete a survey. I completed the survey today, which took about 8 minutes, and printed out a coupon for $15 FREE EXTRA CARE BUCKS!!!!!!!!! I JUST MADE $15! I love CVS! I don't know when or why they send me these surveys, but it's worth signing up for whenever they may send them!

Walgreens update

So, it worked!!!! I made my two trips yesterday night, and they both went off without a hitch! The only snag is that the price for the John Freida stuff was $6.99 instead of $5.99, which meant it wasn't a money-maker, but it was still only about $.50 per bottle and my overall total was still a profit! I'm also going to use the 15% off coupon tonight, as well as some of my $5 Holiday Register Rewards that I've earned to get some stocking stuffers and diapers of course!

Ok, there have been a few deals that have surfaced, plus the 15% coupon has exploded the possibilities, so I'm posting the additional deals, and the proposed trips using the 15% coupon.

=FREE and a good item to add to your total to hit $25! Plus, if you use the 15% off coupon, it will be a $1.05 money maker!

If you use the 15% coupon with this it should go as follows:

=$.82 overage!!!!! This would make a great addition to some of the other deals to hit that $25 mark and get the $5 RR back!

You may have to adjust according to what the register will let you do, but I've had the best success in the past when you have everything rung up, wait till the cashier presses total (so that the register understands that you've hit $25), then hand the cashier the manufacturer coupons first, and the Walgreens coupons last! Remember that you're only allowed one coupon per item (this includes register rewards if you are using any to pay for it), so you may need to add in a few filler items, such as the little Christmas bags that are 6/$1 this week.

Walgreens 15% off coupon!

Walgreens has published a 15% off coupon good only on December 17th or 18th. In order to print the coupon, you must become a fan on facebook HERE and then you can just print it and take it to the store. There are a few limitations, but you will be able to use this in conjunction with some of the great deals in this 4 day sale, and it should lower your out of pocket expenses (and total profit) when you use it today with the $5 register rewards when you spend $25 deal! It's a good thing that I didn't finish my trips yesterday!

God's providence in couponing

My husband's office frequently has pot-luck lunches, which he forgets to tell me about. I think that everyone at his office must either feel sorry for him or think he has a horrible wife because I never send anything for the lunches. Knowing that Christmas is coming up, I asked him myself if he knew of any parties, and it just so happens that there is one early this week!

I'm so excited because I got Velveeta from Publix a few weeks ago for about $1.50 (instead of the normal $5 price) and I had gotten some sausage a little while ago on sale for about $1 per pound package. I am going to make this AWESOME sausage cheese dip that my friend Julie makes, and oh man, let me tell you, it is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mouth is watering as I type. I may have to make some for us as well!

I was also able to snag some Tostitos at Publix today with $1/1 tearpads, and also found a tearpad for free dip wyb two bags of Tostitos! So, I got something that I needed anyway for less, plus I was able to get spinach dip for another upcoming Christmas party for FREE on top of it!

I know that I must sound a little overly excited about cheese dip, but if I hadn't found out until the last minute that he needed something for this party, I would have killed myself running to the store, paying full price for something, and been unsatisfied at what I would be able to throw together at the last minute.

I am so glad that God dropped the right sales into my lap, and I just happened to listen and take advantage of them. This is just another example of how much God loves me and provides for me through all of this couponing stuff. Sometimes it seems like too much work; like it doesn't matter anyway, and then He goes and smiles on me and the efforts I put forth. He's so awesome!

Just a little note...

Ok, so this has absolutely nothing to do with couponing or anything like that, but I'm in my 3rd trimester now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm feeling it too!

Praise God, the baby is healthy, and seems to be quite happy using me as a punching bag in preparation for life with his two brothers!

I still can't get the boys to consistently stop calling my stomach Maggie (we thought the baby was a girl with an early sonogram, but found out later that he is a boy!!!) or get them to stop climbing on my stomach (hence the tough, punching baby inside,) and James gets very mad when the baby kicks/hits him, which he seems to do a lot for some reason, but I am really focusing on how blessed we all are with the gift of this baby! With this pregnancy, I don't have any misconceptions about how blissful things will be, because they will be crazy! I know they will be crazy, and that helps I think.

I can also really tell that God is preparing me for this additional baby by increasing my patience, ability to wrangle and even appreciate little boys. I have noticed an increase in their craziness, but also an increase in my ability to keep my cool in the midst of it.

Once again, God knows what he is doing in giving me a third boy and the tools to mother and love all of them and I am very grateful.
